Anytime a character is magical, I just assume they must have some kind of Gender-bending or Transformation magic available to them. Especially Mantra! ‘Change’ is a third of her dinky little mantra she says! Turn people into… trees or something, Mantra!

And Warstrike is a character who I didn’t realize had his own series until later because he fits very well into the Mantra storyline. He’s such a big unserious machismo dude that gets on every one of Mantra’s nerves, but he’s also a super good noble guy who is very reliable and helpful. I like him! And him having a Ranma-like attitude to his female form is one more nerve to press!
