Transformation is such a fun subject, since it can be so many things. It could be an empathetic exploration of an experience that realistically is beyond your reach. It could be a a fun bit of wish fulfillment to gain abilities or live a life one could only dream of. And, yeah, it can be a horrific theft of agency and sanity and identity, trapping one into a plight that was never meant for sentient life.
