Gallery | Lebanne – The Punk Theory |

In Pokemon ZA, there’s a maid named Lebanne, who works under the ‘Fairy Gymleader’, Jacinthe. She has to work there for losing a bet and a Pokemon battle, and, while it is up for interpretation, she comes across as basically her obedient pet. When she lets loose, though, we see a bit of a mean streak with her, a more primal battle pose, and a more rebellious attitude.

Which leads to a theory online! In the previous Lumiose Pokemon game, there used to be a Punk character, with similar green hair and, naturally, a punkish demeanor. He doesn’t exist in Pokemon ZA, which leads one to think that between the two games, one became the other. Did Jacinthe capture a punk boy to hire a cute girl? Was it a force-femme dungeon situation, or a tough love assist to help him find out who she is? Some fun possibilities between these two!

Also, it’s thanks to this piece that I first heard, thanks to a single comment on it, of ‘Dorley’, and I had to hunt it out. Apparently there’s a story by Alyson Greaves, ‘Sisters of Dorley Hall’ about a secret organization that captures bad boys who are on the verge of becoming absolute scum, and turning them into proper and respectful girls, by any means. It’s a harrowing concept, but ends up being super fun to read, with a wide variety of fully developed characters, with a strong theme of sisterhood, therapy, and becoming a better person. Good stuff, recommended! And fun to imagine Lebanne going through that!
